I don’t really know your situation or the context of the replicated actions taken by your friends. But I do know that when I’ve seen similar behaviour in others in the past it has only been a temporary thing. People are always looking to patterns of behaviour in order to define this for themselves. Inevitably some behaviours are going to be more attractive than others. Like I just mentioned, I don’t really know you other than a few wonderfully written posts, but I think that in the past you have taken on patterns of thought-processing from writers and intellectuals that capture your imagination and creativity. Perhaps these artists have not lived a life you are entirely comfortable with, however you have still have the sense to take on board what moves you.
